We had a low key celebration this year compared to year's past. There was no games, balloon popping, or midnight firework shooting. It was different, but still fun. Hopefully we'll get back to our traditional celebration next year in Guatemala.
We began New Year's Eve morning by taking a few family pictures.
Happy New Year!!!
My mom came down midday and we went out to lunch at Bowie's BBQ. We then did some shopping at Wal-Mart.

That evening we were invited to eat and fellowship with a family in our homeschool group. They grilled burgers, sausage, and chicken and we ate outside. The weather was perfect for an outdoor evening. They built a fire in their fire pit and we watched the Georgia football game while the kids played and jumped on the trampoline. We ended our time together shooting some fireworks.
It was a fun time with that sweet family.
We left around 9:00 and drove to a gathering with David's family. We visited with them until after 11:00. We arrived back home right at midnight all tired and ready for bed.
We started New Year's Day with our traditional pancake breakfast.
We watched the Rose Bowl parade and several bowl games throughout the day.
We picked up a pizza for supper and ended the day watching Ole Miss play in the Sugar Bowl. We were sure hoping for a win.
It was a lazy, restful day and just what we all needed.
Hope you had a great time ringing in the new year.
Happy 2022!! I also had a low key New Years! I normally go to my sisters and celebrate but my cat needs diabetic shots 2X a day now so travel may be hampered for a while. Hope 2022 is a great year!!! HUGS
