Baby in a Bag
The most common way for the K'ekchi' women to tote their babies is to put them in a blanket with a strap around their forehead and tote them on their backs. We will see women and children carrying babies this way. When they need to put their babies down they will usually hang the strap on a nail on the wall or to a post outside. Below are some photos of this that we took last week during the clinic:
