Our Weekend in Oxford With David's Family

We finished up our last school day of the semester on a Friday and then headed out to Oxford for the weekend.  We were going to spend time with David's dad and celebrate Christmas with his family.   Cruz had worn an LSU shirt that day and we joked that he was going to get us harassed in Oxford with that shirt on.

Soon after arriving we had to make a trip to the store.  Cruz came home with an Ole Miss shirt.  I am trying hard to get him to like any Mississippi school.  This was a baby step.

He wore his new shirt on Saturday.  We spent the day visiting, eating, thrift store shopping, and watching football.   It was a fun, relaxing day.

We took family photos that evening before opening Christmas gifts.  Here are the boys with two of their cousins.  David's sister has three kids but only two could come.  Our niece, Kaylie, coaches basketball and had games that weekend.

We played a lot of cards and games over the weekend.

Sawyer and the boys also played a lot of video games.

We took more family photos on Sunday morning before church.

We attended worship at Pinelake.

After church we went out for lunch and ended our meal by celebrating Larsen's upcoming 15th birthday.

She was just one week old when we left for Guatemala.

We had a wonderful weekend!  Everyone enjoyed being together and spending time with each other.  I am a little sad when I think of how long it will be before we can do it again.  Knowing that made us appreciate the time we had even more.
