Christmas Eve 2021

Most of Christmas Eve was a quiet day at home.  We visited with a home bound senior adult couple that we know and love that afternoon.  Then, that evening, we drove to Gallman, MS to spend time with David's family on his mother's side.  Since leaving for the mission field, we have only been home for Christmas in 2009, 2013,2017, and this year.  We do not do it often so we enjoy it when we can.

Cruz has always loved this Santa.

They have grown a lot since our last Christmas in the States.

We had a wonderful meal and then the kids got to open gifts from aunts and uncles.

We took a lot of family photos.
David has lost a mother, grandmother, and an uncle since our last family Christmas gathering back in 2017.  It sure made being home for the holidays a little sadder this year.

We returned home around 11:00 that evening.  The boys always open one gift on Christmas Eve, which is their Christmas pajamas.   This year I added a few candy canes to the box just to throw them off when they shook them.

They then fell fast asleep,

and we got everything ready for the morning.   We knew it would come early.
