Here are a few random photos from the month of November.
Look at that gorgeous sunset!! This time of year they really are intense.
Cruz and I were out shopping one afternoon and he spotted these LSU hats. He was rather excited to buy himself one. I am not sure where he gets his love for LSU. He mentioned recently that he might get rid of all of his LSU stuff and become an Ole Miss fan because all he ever notices is Ole Miss stuff in the stores. I had to remind him that he is in Mississippi and not Louisiana.
Go Tigers!
Having lunch with my dad. They love his old El Camino.
They are trying to squeeze in all the fishing they can.
me and my mom
While in my hometown recently, we made a stop downtown to view the train.
We had supper with the Browns at a local Mexican restaurant.
We had a few Sunday morning speaking engagements and I also spoke at a Tuesday Women on Mission meeting at Easthaven Baptist in Brookhaven. This was a delightful group of ladies!! We had lunch together and then they made t-shirt jump ropes that I will be taking back to Guatemala to give away.
Our home church, Harmony Baptist in Crystal Springs, had a Fall Festival. The boys all got matching face paintings. They had a lively time getting to play that day.
We visited a local Latin store to pick up some more refried black beans and also found these Tortrix lemon chips. We buy this brand in Guatemala all the time and they have not had them since May. They were thrilled to get to eat them again.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. We spent it with David's family. This was the only photo I took all day. We gathered at his late grandmother's house. Since our last Stateside Assignment his grandmother and mother have passed away. It was our first holiday home without them. We were a little sad but still thankful to get to be with the rest of the family this year.
We put our tree up and added our first ornament. It is our family ornament for 2021. I think it perfectly depicts this past year.
We are trying to soak in all the fun we can during these last few weeks in the States. It is a beautiful time to be home. I plan to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the Christmas season this year.
