Like most families with kids, Christmas morning started early for us. The boys were up eager to open presents.
They requested a Guatemalan breakfast so we had eggs and black beans.
We were hosting my family for lunch that day. My dad came early and visited while I cooked. Here he is with the boys exchanging gifts that morning.
We took a few photos before everyone else arrived.
I baked a ham and several casseroles. Others brought side dishes and desserts. The boys and I made our traditional "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake that we also served. We ate, played games, and just enjoyed our fellowship time together. It was a sweet Christmas day with family.
Everyone stayed until late afternoon. Later, we had leftovers for supper and the boys spent the rest of the day watching movies and playing with their new toys. We ended the day with a final reading of the Christmas story and thanking God for sending the greatest gift of all.
