Our first park day was spent at Animal Kingdom. We rope dropped every park day which means we got there early to get in line and we would stay until the parks closed. We had long days but they were all fun-filled!
The Animal Kingdom Christmas tree
I love having the photo pass. It provides us with many great family photos.
Look out, Everest! When the rope dropped we headed straight there. We only rode it once on our last trip so the boys were eager to ride it again. Plus, everyone else seemed to be headed to Pandora so we saved that for the late afternoon.
off to ride Expedition Everest
We walked right on and rode it back to back.
So much fun! It is one of our favorites at Disney.
I loved this bright pop of color as we walked through the park to Africa.
Next, we rode Kilimanjaro Safaris.
DinoLand U.S.A. is not my favorite but the boys still like it. We rode Dinosaur and then let the boys look around.
It's Tough to be a Bug! show is fun.
Another way we save on Disney trips is taking in our own food and drinks. We pack our lunch and snacks each day and only buy supper. This day we took in some refried black beans and tortillas and made the boys favorite lunch. Other days we packed sandwiches and even sausage dogs one day. Disney food is very expensive so doing this helps.
We took the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch.
The Lion King show is wonderful.
We loved the new Kite Tails show. We watched it off and on throughout the day.
On our 2017 visit to Animal Kingdom the Pandora area was still fairly new and extremely crowded. We did not even walk through it. This time, we were anxious to see it. It is still quite crowded but we did not mind.
Here we are in line for Na'vi River Journey.
Excited about riding Flight of Passage.
Pandora: The World of Avatar is a cool land.
Flight of Passage was amazing!! We all loved it so much and now I definitely see what all the hype is about. The wait time may be long but it is worth it.
We had supper at Flame Tree Barbecue and then spent the rest of the night riding Expedition Everest back to back until the park closed. In all, we rode it ten times that day.
We ended the day watching the Tree of Life nighttime show- Beacon of Magic. It was beautiful!
Next up, Magic Kingdom.
