Ben's breakfast choice was fruit loop crusted French toast. That was a fun way to start his day.
We then did another round of mini golf. We did this several times each day. The boys really loved it.
Enjoying the view of the ocean from the the front of the boat.
We then went to check out Camp Ocean. This was their most favorite thing of all about the cruise. It is a kids club where you drop the kids off and the staff has fun activities planned for them all throughout the day. The kids are grouped by age so the boys went to separate classes. That was fun for them because they are always together. They would get up each morning and beg for us to take them. While there they played games, sang songs, made crafts, had themed parties, met friends, watched cartoon movies, and so much more. They were a perfect age for it and had a blast. They spent a lot of their cruise time in Camp Ocean.
After lunch we participated in the Dr. Seuss character parade. Many Carnival ships have a "Seuss At Sea" theme for the kids. The activities were a lot of fun.
We all grabbed some props and marched around the ship singing a fun song.
This was just one of many activities that made sailing with kids extra fun.
Our parade ended in the auditorium where we all sat down and enjoyed story time. We listened to a reading of The Cat in the Hat and it was acted out by volunteers from the audience. It was so cute and fun!
The boys with Gary the cruise director.
The boys spent some more afternoon time in Camp Ocean and then we were back at the waterslides. That evening was formal night. I had planned on us all dressing up and going to dinner together but the boys begged to go eat with their class in Camp Ocean. I was torn on what to do but ended up letting them go. I think I was mostly sad because I didn't get a picture of us all dressed up. Instead, David and I dressed up and enjoyed a nice child-free evening.
formal night
Having a meal without the kids was nice but we missed them. It was the only night we didn't take them to supper with us. The other nights we would all go eat together and then we would check them in to Camp Ocean while we went to enjoy the evening show. Having that option was really nice. It made the cruise more enjoyable for all of us. The boys got to play and have fun and we got to have some quiet time alone. I think it is what made the vacation extra special.
Enjoying the evening show
Every night when we picked the boys up from Club Ocean we made a stop by the ice cream stand for a late night snack. Ice cream is served on a cruise 24 hours a day. My boys loved that!
Cruz with our elephant towel art that was on our bed when we returned to the room. One of the things I love about cruises is the towel art that is left in your room each day. I knew the boys would love it too and they did. On our way back to the room each night we would try to guess what animal we were going to find. It was little things like that that made our trip so much fun.
Next up- our first port of call Nassau.
