'Tis the season for festivals in our town! In addition to the Tea Festival, the Flower Festival, and the Kite Expo, we also attended the Bread Festival. All of these events happened within a month's time.
The Bread Festival took place on the famous arch street. Booths were set up from the Central Park all the way to La Merced church. You could sample different breads and also make purchases.
This event was a competition for local bakers. They were competing to see who could make the best French bread, mollete and champurrada. There was also a competition for the best decorated stand.
This was the second year for this event. We really enjoyed it and look forward to attending more in the coming years.
so many yummy breads to choose from!
This was a coffee bean display showing the different stages of the beans. Coffee was also popular that day because it went well with many of the breads.
Santa was there taking photos.
cheese
Like all events in our town, it was popular and drew a big crowd.
Here is a video from our time there.
