Hiking Volcan Pacaya with our Summer Sojourners

One of the activities that our Summer Sojourner students chose to do was hike the Pacaya Volcano.  It is an active volcano on the other side of Guatemala City.  It is about an hour and a half drive from Antigua.  We booked them with a local tourist agency and sent Cruz along as their guide.  To say he was excited to get to be the "leader" was an understatement!!  They had a fantastic time and made a lifelong memory.  What a cool opportunity it was for them to experience.

It got cloudy quick.

When they reached the top it was all clear.

He has grown and matured so much this summer! Our students have played a big part in that.
