On August 2, David turned 49 years old. Here is how we celebrated his birthday.
He had chocolate and homemade cards waiting for him at the breakfast table.
We had banana pancakes and bacon for breakfast.
The boys and I had a normal morning of school and then for lunch we went out to eat in town. Patsy's recently opened in Antigua. They serve some typical Guatemalan foods and that is what we ordered.
The building where Patsy's is located was remodeled and is beautiful!
The rooftop has a beautiful view of Agua volcano.
We came home for coffee and birthday cake. David's favorite cake is strawberry. My mom had sent a cake mix and icing for me to bake for him. He loved it!

That evening we went back into town. We had crepes, waffles, and iced coffees at Luna De Miel. It was delicious!
We ended the day telling him what we love and appreciate about him and prayed for him. It is our family birthday tradition and a wonderful way to wrap up our celebration.
