Valentine's Day 2021

Here is a look at how we celebrated this year.

I love getting flowers!  David and Cruz picked these out for me this year.

I also love donuts!  How cute is this box from Dunkin'?

Our breakfast table on Valentine's Day morning.
The boys got candy filled hearts, balloons, and silly string.

We had pink heart shaped pancakes for breakfast.

My spot at the table included homemade cards from the boys.

I also got this Hershey chocolate filled coffee cup from San Martin.

Cruz made me this cute Lego creation.

We had lunch at Pappy's BBQ- a family favorite!

My cup at Pappy's.

Next we made a stop at Glacy's for ice cream before heading back home.

The volcano erupted during lunch causing a huge ash cloud to fill the sky.  So, we spent the afternoon closed up inside the house watching movies and snacking on this chocolate chip cookie cake I made.

We wrapped up our Valentine's Day countdown by finding and reading our last heart.  I had been hiding them everyday for the boys to find.  Each one included a verse and a quality about God's love.  We took turns reading the scriptures each day.  The boys love this simple tradition and look forward to it each year.  It is a reminder to hide God's word in our hearts.

It was a fun, simple day that we all enjoyed.
