February 2021 Newsletter

Missing Our Volunteers
Normally this time of year we are busy scouting and making arrangements for upcoming Spring and Summer teams.  Our last team to host was March 2020 and they left just 3 days before Guatemala shut down.  We miss having volunteers around and the fun we have with them while they are here.

Unless restrictions change soon, we do not anticipate hosting again until early 2022.  This is due to the current COVID testing restrictions and our upcoming Stateside Assignment.

When your church is ready to schedule a trip for 2022, keep us in mind.  We would love to have any and all former teams return and any new churches to partner with as well.
Staying Busy in Spite of COVID
Since we are not currently hosting teams we are focusing more on encouraging our national churches. David visited several churches this past month to encourage the pastors and congregations.  He also made a trip to Coban.  We made a family trip to Chiquimula just this past weekend to love on, encourage, and worship with the congregation in Nearar.

We had a great service and visit there.  It's the time of year where most all of the men go off to work in other parts of the country and the women are home alone to keep things running.  Pray that God would continue to grow the men while they are away and give them boldness to witness to those around them.  Pray for the women to stay healthy and strong during this season.  Pray that the church would continue to be a light in the community and surrounding areas.
Homeschool
School has also kept the boys and I very busy.  That is a full-time job in itself for me.  You can visit our blog to read about our school days during the month of January by clicking on this link-  www.davidandregina.blogspot.com.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
In spite of all the hardships this past year brought, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering was still a success.  Many churches wrote to us sharing that their church met or exceeded their goal.  What a blessing!

On behalf of all IMB missionaries world wide, we say THANK YOU!!! Your giving is what allows each of us to go and serve.  We could not do it without you.

Below is a video the IMB recently posted regarding this year's giving.

It's still not too late to give.  Visit www.imb.org/give to make a donation today.
