Father's Day Weekend 2014

Our Father's Day weekend got started off with a family trip to eat supper at Shiver Creek Fish House on Friday night.  We love fried catfish and all the trimmings!

Saturday was a pretty lazy day for us.  We spent time doing things around the house, resting, and of course playing with the boys.

For the past two years we have celebrated Father's Day by visiting a hotel/ waterpark near where we live in Guatemala.  We would stay overnight and it was always a fun time.  I was a little sad when we didn't get to go this year, but know that next year we are already planning to be back there.  We took family photos there in the same spot two years in a row.  This year we just took that same picture in our front yard.

On Saturday afternoon we headed over to the Brown's to play and cook out.  They had just purchased this large float so we got to help them break it in.  The kids all had a blast swimming in the lake and playing on the float.

Me and Malinda just hung out under the umbrella and watched.  We snacked on watermelon and chatted.  That was fun.

Reagan grilled hamburgers and we all ate together.  The kids then went back outside to play while us adults sat around and visited.  We always have a fun time with them.

The boys also got to meet their newest pet- Buttercup. 

We shot a few fireworks before heading home.  It felt like an early 4th of July celebration.

After we got home the boys and I sat out a few surprises for David to find on Sunday morning.  They made him homemade cards and colored him pictures.  He also got some clothes.

For our Father's Day breakfast we enjoyed banana pancakes and bacon.

We then got dressed and ready for church.  I took a few photos of David and the boys before we left.

We drove to Summit, MS to attend church with David's dad and step-mom.  Afterwards we took them out to eat for lunch.  We had a good time with them.

After a much needed nap my dad drove over to our house to see us that afternoon.  We visited a while and then went on an afternoon country drive in his hot rod car.  The boys think that's the coolest thing.  The top was off so we enjoyed the sun on our faces and wind in our hair.  It was nice.  And, I got to drive!  extra nice!

We later ordered a pizza and ate while watching Game 5 of the NBA finals.  It was a fun way to end our weekend.
