Our Bible study and language study time with the Lubeck's is on hold for now. They are about to leave for some time in the States and when they return it will be our turn to go. We will look forward to picking back up with them once our Stateside Assignment ends and we return back to Guatemala.

August 2013 Newsletter
Greetings from Guatemala! The Agricultural Institute that we had planned to do with the village of Tunuco Arriba in July got cancelled at the last minute. We were a little bummed about that, but are trusting that God is in control. David made a few trips back up there to meet with them and we have rescheduled for the last week of August and first week of September. So we ask you again to be in prayer for this time of training. Pray for this village as a whole and the people who live there. With our upcoming Stateside Assignment approaching we are on limited time to try to make some solid connections in that village before we leave.
We only did one Bible study in the village of Lagunetas during July. One of the young girls from the house where we meet was run over by a motorcycle and spent ten days in the hospital. We had to cancel a few study times there due to this. In addition to some head trauma, she also had a broken leg. David took her back to the doctor for a check-up last Monday and she is recovering well although it will still be several weeks before she can walk again. Her name is Damaris and we ask you to pray for her to fully recover.
Our colleagues, David and Glynis Miller, hosted a volunteer team in the village of Nearar in July. They did a lot of door to door visitation. Because of that the attendance has been really good at the Sunday Bible study times. Pray for David as he travels there each Sunday to share God's Word.
Thank you for your continued prayers for our family and ministry. It is encouraging to know that you are praying for us and the work we are doing here in Guatemala.
