We spent Friday and Saturday of last weekend in Coban. We went to say goodbye to our former supervisor and his wife, Jim and Carol McGriff. It was their last weekend in Guatemala before they returned to the States to begin their retirement. We spent some time visiting with them and even enjoyed a meal together. We are sad to see them go, and will always cherish the years we had together with them. Jim was not only a great supervisor, but he was a wonderful mentor to us as well. He taught us so much about missions, the K'ekchi', and most importantly prayer. We are grateful to have had someone like him to walk alongside and learn from. They will be missed by many!

While there we also enjoyed a meal with our friends the Groff's.
We were able to welcome Wendall and Jane Parker back to K'ekchi' work as well. They arrived and will spend three months here ministering among the people. We enjoyed having dinner with them and catching up with each other. We are looking forward to a few projects we will work together on while they are here.
We left Sunday morning traveling to Chiquimula to spend a few days trying to make contact with a few of the Ch'orti' people. We had a great time there and I will post about it soon.
