Prayer Request & Update On Us

We ask for your special, powerful, daily prayers for a leadership conference in Chimaltenango, Guatemala this week, April 7-10.  It will be attended by possibly 100 indigenous leaders from Panama to Mexico. Eleven Kekchi Baptist leaders have been invited to share with the group about the wonderful work of God among their people group across the years. The conference will consist of worship, sharing & prayer times and outreach in several communities. Please pray the following and anything else God puts on your heart:

1) Ask the Lord for good health and travel protection for all participants.

2) Pray for God's anointing on each person and especially for our Kekchi leaders as they share as well as for prepared hearts when they go out into the communities.

3) Ask for the Spirit to give a passionate vision to these leaders for working together to reach the many indigenous groups without the Gospel in Central America.

Please call the names of our Kekchi participants to the Lord in prayer: Pedro Caal, Manuel Ical & Maria, Mateo Caal, Jose Xol, Florentino Reynoso, Miguel Chub, Felix Och, Carlos Pop, Antonio Caal, Teodoro Yaxcal and our supervisor, Santiago (Jim) McGriff.

David and I will not be attending because we will be in language school but we ask for your prayers for all those involved.

Update:
We got moved on Monday and began classes.  So far things are going well.  We had requested to live with the same family we lived with in the past because we loved the lady soo much.  Her house was full this week so we intended to live with a different family for one week and then move to Ms. Ruth's this weekend.  Well, late Sunday night she called us and said that one of the people staying at her house had injured her foot and would not be able to live with her because she has stairs that you must climb to get to the bedrooms.  We were excited to be able to move into her house a week early!  We feel the Lord worked that out for us and we are happy, one less move for me :-)

Classes are going well.  Our brains are pretty tired by the end but we are adjusting well and enjoying it.

Ms. Ruth is like a grandmother and she is taking very good care of us.  We have not lacked for a single thing.  We are also eating well and resting well.

We don't have internet service in our host home but can log on at the school.  We will try to check mail daily, if we can, so if you write and we don't respond soon, we will.

Thanks soo much for all of your prayes.  We feel them and can see the Lord answering them.
