This past week Cruz turned 11 years old. I find that hard to believe!! Here is how we celebrated him this year.
He chose a Minecraft theme.
He made these Lego plates to use as decoration.
We formed them into a box to sit on the table.
His bedroom door decorations.
His door sign.
His birthday morning.
We had banana pancakes dyed green. He covered his with peanut butter, whipped cream, and sprinkles.
For lunch he chose Pappy's BBQ.
He then got ice cream at Glacy.
We spent some time sitting in the Central Park while they ate their ice cream.
That afternoon he finished decorating his cake.
(He had helped me bake it the day before)
The rest of the day was spent at home celebrating as a family.
The next day he had a party with friends at Finca Florencia. We arrived that morning and stayed until late afternoon. They all had a fun day playing together. Here they are having a morning snack break.
opening gifts
He requested this game. It is always a fun activity. Each cup was filled with a prize. The kids used Nerf guns and rocks to try to win.
For lunch we cooked hot dogs over the fire.
We had cupcakes for dessert.
Happy birthday, Cruz!!
everyone singing to him

sweet friends
It was a really fun day filled with soccer, games, Nerf wars, and outdoor exploring. This year we are most thankful for friends to get to celebrate with. They made both boy's birthdays extra special in every way.
