Legoland Florida Hotel

As you can imagine I took quite a few photos of our time at Legoland.  I will divide our visit into two posts.  This first one will be about the Legoland Florida Hotel and next I will share about our time in the Legoland park.

arriving at Legoland
I cannot say enough positive about our stay at the hotel.  We loved it!!!  It was the coolest, most fun hotel we have ever stayed at.  Everything about it was bright, cheery, colorful, and fun.

Most all of the decorations were made out of Legos.  You know I love theming and this place was over the top.

The lobby where you check in.  That bicycle moves back and forth and the backdrop wall was made out of minifigures.

There is a large area in the center of the lobby filled with Legos for playing.

My boys spent a lot of time in there.

Even the flower arrangements in the lobby were made out of Legos.

As soon as we got checked in I signed the boys up for the Lego Masters Workshop.  The hotel offers classes every day but only takes 12 kids per class.  They fill up fast.  The classes are included in the hotel stay and the kids get to keep what they build.

In this particular class they made a fish.

While the boys were in the workshop we headed up to check out the room.  We chose a pirate themed room.  The hotel has several room theme options to choose from.  Ours was so cute!!!

The parents have a separate sleeping area from the kids.  This was ours.

The boys room.  How cute is it??

There is a safe in every room.  To open it the kids have to answer some questions to find out the lock combination.  Inside were several surprises including Lego packs.

our cute bathroom

even the shower curtain was themed

These made me smile.

The boys had not seen the room yet so after their workshop we were eager to show it to them.  I did not get any good pictures of them seeing it because they were moving around too much.  They jumped and squealed with excitement.

They eventually calmed down long enough to open their safe.

checking out all of their stuff

We then headed back down to the lobby for more exploring.  This little Lego guy was outside of our elevator.  He talked when you passed by.

We loved the elevator!!!  Once the door closed a disco light started and disco music played.  It was so fun to dance on the rides up and down.

In the evenings the staff have several activities planned for the kids to do.  The boys took part in everything that was offered.  We enjoyed just sitting back and watching them be entertained.

playing a game with the hotel staff

One of the evening activities was called "How Well Do You Know Me?"  I paired with Cruz and David paired with Ben.  Here I am having to answer the question "What is your least favorite subject in school?"  I wrote down on a dry erase board what I thought Cruz would say and would then show my answer after his response.

We both said it was math.  We only missed one question in all.  I think we know each other pretty well.

More elevator dancing.

At 8:30 every night the hotel staff host a pajama dance party.  All the kids go get changed and head back down to dance.  It was a lot of fun for everyone.

Breakfast is included.  They serve a wonderful buffet.

After a long day in the park it was fun to relax in the pool.  They even have Legos to play with and build there.

One of the activities on our second night was a Team Challenge Build.  The teams had to each build a zoo out of Legos and present it to the staff to judge.  Afterwards they had a Lego themed scavenger hunt for their next activity.

The night ended with another pajama dance party.

And here they are right before check-out the next morning.  We were all a little sad.  None of us wanted to leave.  It was such a happy place.  The boys said it was their favorite vacation trip ever.  I would probably agree.  This hotel is amazing.  I would go back to it even if I didn't visit the park.  If you have a Lego fan, this is the place to be.
