Visiting the Panama Canal June 2019

One of the main reasons for our traveling to Panama a few days early before our meeting was to take the boys to see the Panama Canal.  I have always wanted to go and it was the perfect opportunity to make it happen. I am not sure who got up that morning more excited- me or them.

As soon as we woke up we opened the curtains to see if any ships were passing by our hotel.  I just happened to take a picture and video of this ship.  As you will see later in the post, after we arrived at the canal we got to watch this same ship pass through the locks.  It was a really cool moment.

David and Ben waiting on our Uber to take us to the canal.

Welcome to the Panama Canal

A family photo outside of the entrance.

We entered and went straight up to the observation deck.

The same ship that passed by our hotel earlier that morning.

Next we went inside to tour the museum.

The boys loved all the buttons and gadgets and getting to role play as if they were driving a ship.

I think they touched everything in there and even went back one more time before we left to do it again.  They really enjoyed the museum.

a picnic lunch before we left

What a great family experience!  I am so thankful we were able go.
