After wrapping up our time at the Panama Canal we stopped by a local artisans market to pick up a few souvenirs. What I liked about this market was that it was indoors and had air conditioning. It is really hot in Panama.
Next we headed towards downtown. We started at the seafood market and began a long walk along the Cinta Costera. It offered beautiful views of the water and buildings.
There were several playgrounds along the walkway. We would stop and let the boys play and then walk some more only to find another playground on further down. It was great! They loved it.
We were excited to see this Panama sign.
Afterwards the boys cooled off in the fountain. While they played I offered to take a picture for a family. It turns out the guy was from Mississippi. Small world.
such beautiful views as we walked
view from the bridge
It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.
We returned to our hotel for the evening. Here is Ben watching an airplane pass overhead. In addition to watching the boats they got to see a lot of planes as well. They really enjoyed that balcony!
Next up- Monkey Island.
