Where does that road go?

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7: 13-14
Do you ever see a new road and wonder where it goes? Do you ever come to a fork in the road and take the one you are less sure of? One of our favorite past times when we were back in the states was to get in the car and just ride the country roads. Sometimes we would know where we were and sometimes we would not, but we always enjoyed just getting out and exploring new places. It was something we considered relaxing and peaceful.

Here that is not such a wise thing to do. You really do not want to travel in unknown areas or find yourself in a place where you are not welcome. Although we do spend countless hours on the road it is not the same as traveling for leisure. There was this one road that we passed on several occasions and every time asked ourselves, "I wonder where that road goes". Well a few months ago we took it. We were a little nervous at first. It came out, about an hour later, in a town we are very familiar with but could not figure out how we got from where we were to where we came out. After the fact, we have had a lot of fun talks about that day. It was quite an adventure.

Yesterday we decided to do it again with the Parker's. We had told them about the road and they have never been on it. We decided to just get out and go for a ride and that is where we went. It is hard to believe that there is a road anywhere around here that they have not traveled on. Once we reached the other town we stopped for dinner before heading back home.
