Coffee, Cards, Chicken, and a SNAKE!!!

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

Today we toured a coffee farm outside of Coban. They offer a walking tour and explanation of the coffee process as well as a zip line that each of us did. It was a lot of fun.

It is such a treat to live around all of these coffee farms. We actually have one right across the street from our property and on most days can smell them roasting the beans in the mornings and afternoons. How lucky are we??? ha

This is Rickey enjoying his cup of coffee after the tour.

Since we did not get home last night in time for me to cook us a traditional 4th of July meal , I decided to cook it tonight. We had BBQ chicken, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, and brownies. It was quite yummy!
Jackie brought us a set of Phase 10 cards and this is what we have been doing every night since they arrived- playing cards! We have had the most fun just sitting around the table, playing, laughing, and trying to beat each other. It has become quite intense at times.
Tonight as we were playing Nickey was sitting closest to our door. It was getting a little warm inside, so he opened it to let some air in. Well, he shut it back really quickly. We knew by the look on his face that something was not right. Come to find out, there was a snake right outside of my front door!! For those of you who do not know, I am TERRIFIED of snakes. It was only a small one, but no snake is a good snake. They thought it was very cool and even took photos of it (they are not available for me to post, haha). Needless to say, they killed and disposed of it but I will definitely be more cautious of my steps and leaving our doors left open all day.
