Celebrating 20 Years of Service with the IMB

On Saturday, October 24, we celebrated twenty years of service with the International Mission Board.  We are proud of this accomplishment and thankful for the Lord's calling on our lives to serve him here.

Here is a look at how we celebrated.

Of course, we started the day with pictures.

We then drove to Alotenango to serve alongside Pastor Carlos at his Saturday morning kid's club.

I always love seeing this mountain.  It looks like a patchwork quilt to me.

The weekly kid's club consists of games, music, Bible study, crafts, and snack.  Pastor Carlos and his wife are doing a fantastic job of teaching these kids each week.  We are thankful to get to partner with them and assist them in this ministry.

Afterwards, we stopped at Tribu Terrace and enjoyed a delicious brunch meal.

We then returned home and spent the rest of the day watching college football.  That is one of my favorite things to do!

When we look back over these twenty years, we are filled with gratitude for the way God has allowed us to serve throughout Guatemala. We are thankful for the many people who have walked alongside us, the churches who have prayed for us, the volunteers that have served with us, given financially, and encouraged us.

The years have passed, but God has remained faithful through every single one of them. And if we had it to do all over again, we would still say yes to His call!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
We look forward to many more years of being on mission!
