In mid-April we made a weekend trip to Quetzaltenango. The purpose of going to was spend time with our IMB teammates and also attend a retirement party for the Stones.
We headed out on Friday after school and arrived late afternoon.
On Friday evening we met the Englishes for supper at Ay Chihuahua.
We enjoyed a delicious taco meal and sweet fellowship around the table.
On Saturday we attended the celebration party.
How cute is this!!!
The cupcakes were designed like the Guatemala flag.
Everything was blue and white like our flag.

The Stones with their kids greeting everyone.
Several people shared stories and memories of their time with the Stones over the years.
Lindsay and a friend singing a song.
Gary called us and the Englishes up to present us to the crowd. He was letting them know that the work here will continue even after they are gone.

That evening we all went out to eat at San Martin.
We enjoyed a great meal and a lot of laughter around the table.
We will miss the Stones when they leave for the U.S. in just a few short weeks. We are thankful for their years of service and especially for the impact they have had on our lives. There will always be a void here without them!
Pray for their transition from the field in early May. Pray that it will be smooth and easy. Pray that God will meet all of their needs as they settle into life in the States.
