Sunday Services in Chiquimula

This summer we are hosting seven Summer Sojourners.  It is an IMB program for college age students to serve during their summer break.  They arrived on Friday, May 26 and we spent their first week in the Chiquimula area.  I will be sharing about that in my next several posts.  

Today I'll be sharing about our Sunday worship services.

It has been over four years since we moved from that area and I still cry every time we go back.  We miss them so much!!  We miss worship with them, visiting with them, and just the work and ministry in general that we did in that area.  The Lord has different plans for us now but part of our hearts will always be in the Chiquimula mountains!  Pray for the work there and that God would continue to grow the church.

 

We stopped at the gas station in Jocotan and had a picnic lunch.

We had plans to do an English Week at a school in Jocotan Monday-Thursday of that upcoming week.  Due to a roadblock we could only get there on Monday and Thursday.  I'll share about the amazing time we had in the school in my next post and then what we ended up doing on Tuesday and Wednesday after that.
