Easter this year was extra special because we had special guests in town to celebrate it. Ms. Jane Parker (retired IMB missionary) along with her daughter and son-in-law made a visit to Guatemala. Their first stop was a few days in Antigua for Semana Santa. We enjoyed getting to visit with them around town and then host them for Easter Sunday. Ms. Jane is dear to my heart and I was glad to get to spend some time with her.

The boys swam at the hotel pool while we visited and drank coffee.

We enjoyed a Southern breakfast on Easter morning that included biscuits. The boys also each got a giant Hershey bar.

We all enjoyed worship together.
They then came over for Easter lunch.
Our March team from Easthaven Baptist had brought me several Easter decorations including this table runner, place mats, and napkins. I love holiday things!!
Our meal consisted of turkey, gravy, potato casserole, carrot souffle, green beans, and deviled eggs.
Ms. Jane's birthday was just a few days away so I surprised her with a strawberry birthday cake for our dessert.
A precious lady and my missionary hero!

That afternoon they drove on to Panajachel to continue their week-long visit to Guatemala. We were sad to see them go!
Later that evening, we met up with friends for supper at El Bosque in Antigua. It is a beautiful outdoor space that we recently found and now love to visit.

They are a precious family that God recently brought into our lives.
These boys love to hang out together!
El Bosque has several fire pit areas that are free for guests. After our meal we continued our fellowship around the fire. It was a wonderful way to end our day and the Easter season.
