July 2021 Newsletter

I suppose our header should say "Greetings from Mississippi", but I will leave it the same in spite of being in the U.S. on Stateside Assignment. We arrived on June 1 to begin our time here. We are getting settled in nicely and have greatly enjoyed our time so far. It has been refreshing in many ways.

Highlights have been trips to Walmart, the library, and the city parks.  We have also been to a local rodeo and a Dairy Day put on by a local farmer's market.

The boys were able to attend VBS at two different churches during the month of June.  They loved VBS!! They also got to attend summer camp for the first time.  They are making some wonderful memories this summer.

During the month of June we were able to be in six different churches.  It has been a joy to visit around and reconnect in person. In addition to that, David shared at a Brotherhood Breakfast on Father's Day morning.  I had the joy of sharing with a young homeschool mom's group not only about homeschool but also about life on the mission field and raising kids there.  I enjoyed getting to encourage them and share a little of my homeschool journey with them.

We just recently returned from a week-long trip to the Charleston/ Mt. Pleasant, SC area where we visited with two partner churches.  We were able to share updates with both churches as well as have times of fellowship with church leaders, missions council leaders, and former volunteers.  It was a wonderful week and we will be looking forward to hosting them again in Guatemala in 2022.

All is well in our little part of the world.  We are staying busy and as always trying to squeeze in all we can while in the States.  We covet your prayers for safety and good health.
