Disaster Relief
Greetings from Guatemala!  We have had two hurricanes unfortunately pass through our country since we last updated you.  They brought heavy rains which resulted in severe flooding and devastating mud slides in several parts of Guatemala. Thankfully in and around Antigua where we live we only received light rains.  We were fortunate, but many were not.

The Kekchi area was hard hit with flooding.  Thanks to generous offerings and funding from Send Relief we were able to begin a disaster relief project with them. We are directly working through the Kekchi Baptist Convention in Coban to do distributions.  Initially we were able to provide warm blankets, towels, and essential food bags.  We will follow up with another food distribution soon.  Once they are ready to rebuild we will help supply sturdy sheets of tin for their homes.

Pray for many all over Central America who are still trying to recover from these terrible storms.  Pray for wisdom for our family and others like ours who are trying to find the best ways to effectively assist them.

COVID Cleaning Supplies
In addition to disaster relief efforts, we also received funding to distribute COVID cleaning supplies.  We have been busy gathering and giving away bags of supplies.  Not only have we distributed individual family bags, but we have also been able to give touchless digital thermometers, boxes of disposable face masks, and gallons of hand gel to churches to use during their meetings.  What a blessing this project has been to many.

Thanksgiving
We enjoyed a simple Thanksgiving meal at home this year. Because of COVID we did not have our normal missionary gathering like years past.  Some missionary friends were in town so we eagerly invited them to have lunch with us.  It was nice to have someone to share the day with.  This has definitely been a lonely year and it has made us extra thankful for friends and fellowship opportunities.

New Believer
The greatest joy from this past month was Ben making a profession of faith.

This year has been a little discouraging because with all the restrictions we have been limited on ministry opportunities.  In spite of that, God has worked greatly within our own home.  Both boys accepted Christ this year. Cruz back in April and Ben just a few weeks ago.

While sitting in a bustling medical office I began a gospel conversation with Ben that led to him praying and asking Jesus into his heart.  Ev.ery moment of every day is an opportunity to share the gospel with someone, even those within our own family

Join us in praying for him as he begins to grow in his faith as a new believer.  What a joy, as a parent, to lead your child to the Lord!
