Groundhog Day
Hola amigos! Not much has changed since our last update. The
restrictions are still the same here. The President addresses the
country every Sunday night and tells us what we can and cannot do for
the upcoming week. It feels like the craziest roller coaster ride I
have ever been on! We have had a curfew since late March. The hours
have been modified several times. The current times are 6:00 p.m. until
5:00 a.m. We just finished our third weekend in a row of being on
complete lock down from Friday at 5:00 p.m. until Monday at 5:00 a.m.
Thankfully it was announced last night that we will not be on lock down
next weekend. We will just have the curfew. Travel between departments
(counties) has been banned since early April. Our State of Emergency
was recently extended for another 30 days. Fatigue has definitely set
in and we are growing weary of being at home. Pray for us to stay
strong and endure this time well.
Helping Those in Need
Despite the restrictions, we have still been very successful in
providing food packages to those in need. With the help of local
pastors and church leaders many families have been able to have food on
their tables.
We have done two distributions in each area. We did one in April and
another in May. It has been a great opportunity for the church leaders
to show love to their neighbors and be a witness in their communities.
We have helped a few communities here locally but a lot of our focus has
been on the precious people we love in the mountains of Chiquimula. We
look forward to the day that we can visit with them in person again!
Thanks to the generous offerings given to Send Relief many people are
not going hungry during this difficult time. Thank you for giving!
Below are some pictures from the distributions.
It's Not Over Yet
You can still give. Donations help world-wide, not just in Guatemala.
Because you give, needs are being met and lives are being changed.

We finished our school year and are now on summer break.
Thank you to each one who prays for our homeschool. We appreciate it
greatly! Pray that our break would be refreshing for each of us.
We ended the month celebrating Cruz's 10th birthday. What a
joy he is to our family! Pray that God would bless him and use him
