January 2020 Newsletter

Thank you for praying for the 2019 Indigenous Conference that took place in early December.  This is an annual conference for Indigenous pastors and leaders.  It was a good meeting and those that attended left refreshed and encouraged.

We enjoyed getting to be a part of several worship services via video during the month of December to promote the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  Keep us in mind next December if you would like us to share with your church how the offering is making a difference around the world. Thank you to all who gave this Christmas season!  We look forward to seeing how your gifts will be used to impact lostness in the coming year. We had a wonderful holiday season celebrating at home in Guatemala.  We enjoyed having two weeks off from school which gave us some time to rest before the busy new year begins. We will start the second semester today.  Please continue to pray for our school time.  Pray that God would help me to teach well and that our days would be joy filled.

Many of you have plans to visit us in 2020 but there is still room for more.  We currently have several team dates open for the fall.  Let us know if your church might be interested in coming down to serve.  We would love to host you!

Pray for Missions College that is taking place this week in Virginia.  This is an annual training event put on by the IMB for churches to help them be better equipped to do mission work.  Pray for the ones who will be leading the sessions as well as all of the attendees.  Pray that everyone will leave with a greater passion to share the gospel cross-culturally and with a better understanding of how they can impact lostness around the world. Whether you and your church are just getting started in international missions or maybe you have been doing missions for many years, there is still something for everyone.  Make plans now to attend the next conference.  It will take place in January 2021.  Here is a link to Missions College FAQs.  This link will help explain a little about it and answer any questions you might have.

We will be hosting our first team of the year next week.  Pray for a group from First Baptist Mt. Pleasant, SC that will be traveling down to serve with us.  Pray for good health, safe travels, and for a great advancement of the gospel.

Happy New Year from our family to yours.  Thank you for allowing us to serve and represent you on the mission field.  Thank you also for praying.  We look forward to another great year of being on mission and we covet your prayers for all we do.
