David's Birthday 2019

David's birthday is August 2.  We had a simple celebration close to home. Here is how we spent his day.

We began the day with birthday pancakes. 

 The boys made him cards that they gave him at breakfast.

The boys and I then had a normal school day.  I cooked lunch and made his birthday dessert.  He did not want a cake but instead asked for chocolate brownies with peanut butter icing.  This is currently my family's favorite dessert.  

You can see he started eating it before I could even take a picture.

That night we went out for supper at one of our favorite places- Pappy's BBQ.  We then spent some time walking around town taking in the sights.

We ended the night at Cafe Condesa for dessert.  We all shared the Butler's Revenge which is brownie, ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and toasted macadamia nuts.  It was rich but good!

It was a fun day and we enjoyed getting to make him feel loved and appreciated.  We are thankful for the way that he leads our family each and every day.
