Easter 2019

We hope each of you had a wonderful time celebrating Easter this year. It is one of my favorite times of the year.  Here is a look at how we spent the day.

As you can see our backyard was covered in eggs. I had put them out the night before. 

We had pancakes for breakfast.  We have pancakes for all special occasions.  These were shaped like the empty tomb.  We were finishing up our reading of the Easter story and this was a great visual to go along with it.

Every year we open our resurrection eggs and use them to review the Easter story.  Inside each egg is a visual to help tell part of the story.  The boys look forward to this every year.

After breakfast we got dressed for church and took some family photos.

Easter Sunday 2019

We attended worship at the Baptist church in San Felipe de Jesus with Pastor Julio Inestroza.  We had a great service there.  Afterwards we returned home for a wonderful Easter lunch.  I had prepared our meal on Saturday so it would be ready.  We enjoyed turkey, macaroni and cheese, carrot souffle, Lima beans, rolls, jello jigglers, lemon pie, and sweet tea.  Yum! 

After eating the boys grabbed a plastic bag and hunted eggs.  Some were filled with prizes.  That made them extra excited.

The rest of the day was spent at home resting and watching movies.  David has some busy travel days this week and the boys and I will be busy with school.  Having some down time was just what we all needed.  

The grave is empty... HE IS RISEN!
