Christmas Day 2018

There is nothing like the sound of little feet running into your bedroom on Christmas morning.  It is a sound that all parents love but really do not want to hear.  At least we do not want to hear it before sunrise.  Nonetheless, we were up bright and early with two very eager little boys wanting to go downstairs and see their gifts.

Christmas morning

The sun came up and here they are in their new beanbags waiting for me to cook breakfast.

We had Christmas tree waffles for breakfast

After eating they watched Elf while wrapped up in their new sleeping bags.

Mid-morning their neighbor friend came over to play.  She comes over several times a week to play with the boys.  We are thankful for her friendship.

For lunch we had Jeff and Karen Thomas join us.  They are IMB missionaries who currently live in Guatemala City.  Their kids are grown and were all in the U.S. so they came to spend Christmas Day with us.  We are so glad they did!  It is nice being closer to them and others so that we can have more fellowship times together.

We spent the rest of the afternoon just laying around and relaxing.  It was a beautiful day in Antigua.  I love this view from my living room window.

David built a fire and it was so cozy.

We ate leftovers for supper than made hot chocolate and spent the evening watching movies by the fire.  What a great way to end our day!
