We began our Father's Day celebration a little early this year. On our way home from Guatemala City (where we had traveled in to take our team to the airport) we stopped off at Hotel Longarone for the night. It has been our Father's Day destination for several years now. We love the pool there and the boys especially love the diving boards and slides. After a busy week with the team it was a great way to relax and enjoy a little down time.

We were in the village of Nearar for worship that Sunday morning and then returned home for lunch. We had plans to attend worship in Chiquimula that night but due to a rain storm that passed through the service was cancelled. Instead we spent the rest of the day and evening resting at home.
Here is a look back at our family celebrating Father's Day over the years.
Our boys are so blessed to have David as their father. He is a great leader and role model for them. We try to thank him all throughout the year for the way he loves us and cares for us. I'm glad though for a special day set aside to honor him and return some of the love that he shows to us every day.
