Cruz and Mimi at our mission house in Guatemala City.
The first part of her visit was getting things ready for Cruz's birthday. I enjoyed having her here to help me make his day extra special. Here we are on Cruz's birthday afternoon.
She loved the hotel that is next door to us. We spent several afternoons in that pool trying to keep cool.
Here she is enjoying a typical Guatemalan breakfast at the hotel restaurant next door. She had eggs, black beans, fried plantains, and lots of Guatemalan coffee.
We spent a lot of time taking walks around our neighborhood. Here she is with Ben on one of those walks.

She rented this go-cart for Cruz to ride on his birthday. We all had a blast on that thing!

One afternoon while David watched the boys napping I took my mom and Teresa into town to do a little shopping and have a little girl time. It was a favorite outing of mine. Living in a house with all boys is fun but there is nothing like some time with the girls. Here we are at the mall food court enjoying a caramel frappe and a frozen orangeade.
We took them bowling one afternoon and we all had a blast. We laughed until we cried. It was a fun memory!

On her last evening here we took her to eat at Nais in Guatemala City. It is a favorite place of ours and she loved it too. She also loved the frozen orange drinks they serve there. They are delicious!
Every spare minute we had throughout her visit we played Phase 10. She had never played before so I taught her and now she is hooked. Here we are playing before bedtime on her last night here. I am definitely missing these moments the most! Cards, coffee, and laughter are a great combination!
I am thankful that she was able to come for a visit. We enjoyed having her and we look forward to the day that she can come again.
