Greetings from Guatemala! We
have reached the hot season in our part of the world. We have had many
days in a row of 100+ degrees. April and May are typically the hottest
months so we have a little ways to go before we get some relief.
Our
Bible studies are steady right now. During the month of April we had
ten Bible studies in four villages. One week we had four in the same
week. It keeps us busy around here. We are currently in Nearar on
Sundays, Tunuco Arriba on Wednesdays, Muyurco on Thursdays, and
Lagunetas every other Saturday. David did some visiting with Bro. Nahum
(a pastor from Honduras) in a village near the Guatemala/ Honduras
border. Bro. Nahum has returned to do a Bible study there. David also
helped Noe (Ag partner from Honduras) with some agriculture training in
the village of Churischan. We had a busy month but it was productive.
In
addition to ministry we had a busy month of celebrations. We started
the month off with Easter. Mid-month we celebrated Ben's third birthday
with a Lightning McQueen themed day. We finished off the month with a
trip to the El Salvador beach to celebrate our 19th wedding
anniversary. We work hard but we also play hard. And, we celebrate
everything big!
We
will continue with our Bible studies in the month of May and ask that
you keep us in your prayers as we travel and teach in the different
areas each week. We spend a lot of time on the mountain roads going
back and forth. Pray for God's protection over us as we travel. Pray
that we would be received well and that God's love would shine through
us in all we say and do.
