Greetings from Guatemala!
We hope that each of you had a great season of Thanksgiving this
year. Our little family did. We spent the holiday with our IMB
mission family and had a wonderful time of fellowship and encouraging
each other. It was good to set a few days aside and just be thankful
for what the Lord has done in our lives. It is always good to be with
our mission family and we look forward to gathering together with them
again later this month.
We
were able to teach God's Word several times during the month of
November. David had three Bible studies in the village of Nearar. We
both taught twice in the village of Lagunetas. We made a visit in the
village of Chanco and as a result of that we were invited back to lead a
Bible study there. I was able to teach a group of children there and
we have plans to return and teach more this month. We made two visits
to the village of Churischan. One of those was with our Ag partners
from Honduras. We made plans to return and do an Agriculture Training
with some of the men there sometime after the first of the year. We
love being able to teach and are thankful for the opportunities we are
getting. We plan to continue our Bible studies in the villages of
Nearar, Lagunetas, and Chanco this month and are praying for more
opportunities to open up in other villages next year. Would you join us
in praying for that? Pray specifically for a new Bible study to begin
in the villages of Churischan and Tunuco Arriba.
It's Lottie Moon Christmas Offering time!
Many of your churches have set their goals and we hope that you will do
your part to help meet them. Please remember us this year when you give
knowing that your gifts help support our little family and the work we
are doing here in Guatemala. If you are not a part of a Southern
Baptist church and you would like to give to support international
missions this holiday season visit HERE to learn how you can give. We say a big THANKS in advance for each and
every dollar that will be given to support this offering this year.
We
are looking forward to the Christmas season and celebrating the birth
of our Lord and Savior. He is the reason we celebrate. He is the
reason we live. He is the reason we serve. Pray for us as we share the
true meaning of Christmas with those we come in contact with this
month. Many need to hear it and more importantly- they need to
believe!
