Greetings from Guatemala! I will admit that we are glad to see August go. It was a very draining month on our family. We began the month with a trip to the Pacific Ocean to celebrate David's birthday. After that it went down hill fast. The day we returned home David began running fever and spent the next few weeks overcoming dengue fever. During that time Cruz fell and we had to take him in for stitches. Ben had his four month check-up and we had concerns about his hearing. We had to go see a specialist, and thankfully he checked out fine. It just seemed like one thing after the next and at times got a little overwhelming for me trying to "hold down the fort". Thankfully we are all doing much better now.
We are continuing our weekly visits to the village of Nearar to lead a Bible study. We helped with a medical clinic in that village during August and have seen more interest since then. We are looking to start another Bible study in the same village this coming week. We will do our original study in the morning and then return in the afternoon to do another study at a house on the other side of the mountain. That's exciting! Pray for both of these studies, and for David as he prepares and teaches.
We made a trip to the village of Lagunetas and did some door to door visits. We plan to return there again sometime this month.
On a happy note, we have three newborns all born within about 10 days of each other living next to us- two girls and a boy. We have one on each side of us and one living in the apartment above us. We love it and look forward to our kids growing up with these "new kids on the block". There is another baby due in February. Our little hill is growing!
We thank you for your faithful prayer support and interest in our ministry. It means so much to know that we are being prayed for regularly.
