On Friday Ben had his 4 month check-up. Here are a few photos from his appointment.

Getting his vaccines
For the most part he had a good check-up. It was not as thorough as it could have been because we got sidetracked talking with the doctor about Ben's hearing. We have started to notice that he does not always respond to our voices, loud sounds, or just noises in general. A baby at his age should turn their head to certain noises (especially their mother's voice) and he does not always do that. We know that he can hear, but are just not sure how well. Our pediatrician did some random testing in his office and also was concerned. He tried to get us an appointment to see a specialist that afternoon but the doctor he wanted us to see was not in. Since David has missed the past two weeks of Bible study due to having dengue fever he really needed to be there this week to teach. We decided to get an appointment for the middle of the week and will be making another trip into Guatemala City on Tuesday. Ben will be tested on Wednesday morning and depending on the results we will see what our next step might be.
Other than the hearing issue he seems to be perfectly normal and on track as far as milestones and development. We are anxious to get some answers to see what, if anything, might be going on. Would you pray for us during this time? I will post an update when we know more.
