We had a pretty laid back holiday. We did not do anything special we just stayed home and relaxed. It was a nice day! We always miss our families most on holidays so we thought of them a lot, and wished that we could all be celebrating together.
Our family on Fourth of July 2012
The boys are too young to understand why we celebrate, but we look forward to teaching them one day.
Cruz during lunch
We spent the morning playing and he was exhausted by the time we ate lunch. He did not even finish his meal. Both boys took naps at the same time which meant that we all got to rest. It was nice!
After nap time David and Cruz ran into Chiquimula to find some fireworks while Ben and I stayed home so I could cook. We had the Bentley's over to eat that evening. We had a fun time hanging out with them and eating. We enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, dip, fruit, fresh squeezed lemonade, peach cobbler, and ice cream. It was a delicious meal. We were excited to recently learn that they are expecting their first child in February. We are thrilled for them and cannot wait to add another little one to our Chiquimula mission family.

We had planned to shoot fireworks together but they had an unexpected emergency come up that caused them to leave early. We shot some without them and made plans to get together later in the week to shoot some more.
I love his sweet smile in this picture.

Little ones just add so much to holiday celebrations. We are thankful for these two that God has given to us. Hope you had a fun day of celebrating as well!
