We started our trip at 4:15 a.m. on Thursday morning. We were up, dressed, and ready to meet our 5:00 taxi. Here is a photo of us as we headed out the door of our mission house in Guatemala City-
Cruz and I meeting the taxi
We had a smooth check-in, and then all ate breakfast at the airport. We had booked the aisle and window seats with hopes that the seat in between us would be empty. The guy when we checked in told us he would block it for us and that the flight was not full. Well, that didn't work out and we had someone show up for our row. That caused us to be quite cramped. Cruz was asleep before the flight took off and slept about 30 minutes. He was then WIDE OPEN for the next 1.5 hours! We rejoiced when he took another short nap before we landed.
Cruz enjoyed looking out of the window. It was pretty sunny so I put his sunglasses on.
David taking a turn holding him.
Once in Houston we put Cruz in the stroller and he enjoyed going throught the airport. You will notice his hand is blurry in the above photo because he was waving at everyone he saw. It was cute!
We have not had internet service since we arrived. We are currently spending a few days with family at the beach. I'll try to catch up on some blogging while here.
Yay! So glad y'all made it home safely and that Cruz did well on the flight. I hope you have a wonderful time visiting with everyone.
