Greetings from Guatemala! It seems as though we just wrote a newsletter. The month of February has flown by. We visited several churches/missions last month. We enjoyed visiting with, praying for, and encouraging the pastors as well as asking about new areas around them. Our goal is to find an unreached area that we can get involved in and possibly help plant a church there. Pray with us that the Lord would lead us to the right place.
During February we attended a women's Bible study/worship service in the village of La Laguna. We attended a dedication service for some new Sunday School rooms that were recently built in Caserio La Nueva. We attended an anniversary service for the mission in Rosa Jamaica. I taught Sunday School and we attended worship at La Ceiba. We also visited with pastor's and their families in four other villages. We are learning a lot about the Peten and love getting out into the areas.
We visited a small mission in the town of La Libertad. We learned that they have recently stopped holding services there. There are only four K'ekchi' families in the mission. They do not have a pastor, but are building a pastorium with the hopes of getting one. We made plans to return on March 6 to have a worship service with them. Please pray for us as we lead that day that we can be a great encouragement to the believers there. Pray that the Lord would give us just the right words to say.
Things going on in March include a Pastor's Conference on March 2 in Sayaxche, a service at Linterna 1 on March 27, and another recording session for the "Institute of the Air" on March 30. Please keep us in your prayers on these days.
As always, we thank you for your interest in our work here among the K'ekchi'. We covet your prayers and are honored to have you be a part of our ministry through your prayer support. THANK YOU! Until next time...
Sending our love,
David, Regina, and Cruz
