Over the weekend we traveled to Coban to wash our clothes, pick up some supplies, eat at a few of our favorite places, and bring another load of our stuff back. Saturday morning before we left we had two of our K'ekchi' national missionaries stop by to visit and eat breakfast with us. We talked with them about some of the new missions they are starting and made plans to visit a new village with them at the end of the month. We then got on the road for the 3.5 hour drive to Coban. We arrived and while trying to wash clothes the power went off- very aggravating! We did finish, but it was late. We didn't get to visit any of our friends there, but hope to on our next visit.
On the drive back Sunday we got about 30 minutes out of Coban and David realized that his wallet was not in his pocket. He was trying to remember where it could be and when was the last time he saw it. He went ahead and called the debit card company to put them on notice, just in case. We turned around and just as we got back in to town, he looked in the console and guess what- THERE IT WAS! I am telling you what, he has just about stressed me to the limits this week with his mishaps, LOL! That set us back an extra hour and when you combine the time it took to stop for lunch, we ended up with a five hour trip. ugh!
We started today off with breakfast next door with our neighbors and are now hosting a house full of workers here to install our nice, pretty, white ceiling. YEAH! I'll post photos soon.
Cute pictures!
