One of the first things I wanted to buy for the baby once we returned to Guatemala was a sling from the local market. It is a very popular way to carry your babies here. The other day David tried it out while doing a little work around the house. SIDE NOTE- David has been amazing during the pregnancy and after the birth with helping out around the house. He has done everything for me from washing dishes and clothes, to sweeping and cooking. I have definitely been spoiled over the last 9 months!!! Anyway, here he is holding Cruz while hanging our clothes on the clothes line (he also washed them and once dried, took them in, folded them, and put them away).
Cruz liked it.
I'll be glad when I'm fully recovered from my surgery so I can carry him like this too.
That is a beautiful sling. I used one after my children were born but it wasn't anywhere near as pretty as that one. And, LOVE your son's name. Congrats on your new addition! Came over from SITS to say hello!

ReplyDeleteGreat way to carry the baby and that he is always with you and your husband.

Love catching up on you before knowing you on your blog. Great writing and pictures and a good lesson on what a real Christian man is!
