Our next goal was to get all of his things assembled, cleaned, and in place. We started off by putting together his pack-n-play. Well actually David put it all together and I supervised and made sure it was correct.
Cruz's crib
While working, our landlady dropped off these beautiful roses she cut for me from her yard.
She is very sweet and thoughtful!
David also put together the bouncy seat
I sure hope Cruz will like to sit in it
With the exception of bathroom products, we finished packing all of our bags and have them sitting by the door ready to go. I will be taking them to my appointment this Wednesday, just in case.
We boiled several bottles, nipples, pacifiers, and my breast pump pieces to have ready in case we need them
I squeezed in a little time as well for some much needed pampering to my tired/ swollen hands and feet by getting a manicure and pedicure at a local spa in town. This was my Mother's Day gift from David. It was heavenly!!! During the pedicure, the lady put some type of cream on my feet, wrapped them in plastic wrap, and put them in these heated slippers for ten minutes. They looked really funny but felt really good.
We also filled the vehicle with gas. So, I think we are done. Or at least we're as done as we are going to be. I can't think of anything else to do but wait. We'll know Wednesday at my appointment if my doctor is going to schedule me a c-section or not. I'll be posting Wednesday evening about what we find out.
So as we wait and count down these last few days we seem to get more nervous, yet more excited with each day that passes. We can't wait to be looking over into this bed and seeing our precious little son laying there! We just can't fathom the joys that lie ahead!!!
I haven't visited your blog in the longest while. Though sorry I haven't done so, I'm so glad I did today. What a joy! Absolutely nothing can be better than the anticipation of the arrival of your new son. Wishing you the best! Hope I get to see pictures of the soon-to-be cutie soon.
ReplyDeleteWow, how exciting! Sounds like you're quite prepared. That foot treatment looks like it'd have felt good!
