We have spent a few mornings this week at Miss Fran's reviewing K'ekchi' grammar. Today for class we decided to take our Baptist hymn books and translate the titles. So many times in church services we recognize the tunes but can't remember the name of the song. The words do not translate exactly as they are in English. It was soo much fun remembering some of the hymns and reminiscing about several that we used to sing regularly in our home church back in the States.
Miss Fran with her hymn bookIt took the whole morning to go through every song
After that we made plans to go eat lunch. One place Miss Fran talks a lot about is El Tirol. They have an orquid farm there where they grow orquids.

It was quite large and there were hundreds if not thousands of plants
We ate lunch out on the patioThey have a room where they display all the awards they have won over the years with their flowers and it was impressive
The flowers are not in bloom right now, but we plan to return when they are. We can't imagine what a beautiful sight that will be.
