Our day started out much earlier than most of our days do- 5:30 AM! We had to be up and going in order to get our K'ekchi' friends to the city for their appointment. We met Miss Fran for breakfast at McDonald's on our way out of town. She eats there most everyday. It was nice to join her today on her original birthday.
We made it into the city with plenty of time to get them to their appointment. We dropped them off at their building and then headed to lunch. We ate at Quizno's. Right after we arrived, another missionary couple, Larry & Sarah Plyler, came in. They just returned from a year of Stateside Assigment so it was nice to see them and catch up with them. We enjoyed our lunch together.
Tonight we visited with Keith & Glenna Bartley. They told us about a Chinese place near where they live so we joined them there for dinner. After eating, we walked back to their house for coffee and dessert and a few rounds of chicken foot and Mexican train dominos. We had a great time, as always, with them.
It's been a long day! We are looking forward to getting a good nights rest and then tomorrow it's off to finish purchasing the rest of our team supplies.
