We can't say enough of good about this team and the time we had together. They brought us much love, laughter, and encouragement. They were a great group to work with and we look forward to having them back someday.
We left Coban on Friday morning traveling to the village of Chi Cuis. We picked up two of our K'ekchi' missionary brothers who went out with us.
Bro. Augustine & Bro. Roberto
We arrived in the village mid-day with plenty of time to set up everything and get our sleeping arrangements handled. We slept in this school building and showed the Jesus film outside.
We took camp cots, pillows, sheets, and blankets for sleeping. We were blessed with cool weather at night. It actually got a little cold both nights, but it was much better than being hot. This was our bathroom/ changing room. It might look bad, but we were very thankful to have it.
Before the movie started, I gathered up the children and read Bible stories to them.
We made paper plate fish and let the children color them. They enjoyed it a lot.
Waiting for the movie to start
The next morning we plugged up the coffee pot to the generator so we could have coffee. We left that village and made a couple of prayer stops on the way to the next village. Here are a few photos from the places we prayed at-
We even did some hiking. Would a team be complete without it???
The second night we slept in this school building. We showed the Hope film down the road from there.
It rained all night so that made it difficult to show the film outdoors. We didn't have permission to move it inside so we hung the sheet on the side walk and the people gathered around it. Many stood out in the rain during the 2 1/2 hour service and then the 2 hour movie. It amazed us that they would do that.
We ate five of our meals in K'ekchi' homes- two breakfasts, one lunch, and two dinners. This team was troopers when it came to eating.

Sunday morning we attended worship services in this church in the village of Sac Si'. After eating lunch with them, we returned to Coban late that afternoon.
