We ran out of coffee today so tonight after dinner we walked to the gift shop at the restaruant next door to buy some more. David likes to buy different kinds of coffee from time to time to try it out. Tonight he bought two different brands. One bag- Tres Generaciones (Three Generations) has listed on the back and tranlated in English benefits of drinking coffee. I am going to type it for you word for word in their translation. Don't think my spelling has gone haywire. We have laughed sooo hard reading this. It has cracked us up!
BENEFITS OF THE COFFEE FOR YOUR HEALTH:

-Coffee may causes a healthy addiction on it if you drink a moderatly. To refer about an addiction it is a fake because it is a dependence that may causes damage to your health.
We laugh but at the same time can only imagine what our translation would come out as. HA
It sounds as though the answer to the world's problems might just be a good 'ol cup of java! :)

Well, if the Cancer Research Center AMC in Denver, CO says it, it has to be true. Cause they know.
ReplyDeleteI always knew there was a reason I was drinking it so much. Because you know I like to be healthy. That just confirms it all. DRINK MORE COFFEE!!!! Thanks for the information.
ReplyDeleteReagan
That's hilarious...although I still won't drink coffee...
ReplyDeleteThis is new, never heard of this before but I don't drink coffee and am not convinced.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your SITS day!
Oh, you are so right! My translation would most likely sound worse, so at least I got the gist of that.
ReplyDeleteI drink java every day...I can't imagine life w/out it:) My sis bought her and I matching plaques for our kitchens:
"Life is too short for bad coffee".
Amen.
I must confess, though, I never gave it to my kids....I thought it would stunt their growth. (thank you Grandma for your words of wisdom:)
I love coffee so much that I'll make any excuse to drink it!
ReplyDeleteDropped in via SITS!
I'm counting on all of the above! Congrats on SITS day!
ReplyDeleteUm, it prevents addiction? No wonder they have it at AA meetings and methadone clinics! Sometimes the words just don't translate, but that coffee has made some "bold" claims.
ReplyDeleteI love my coffee!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I need to go stimulate my organism right now! :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves it. He would loved to test coffee out with you guys.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!!
ReplyDeletesounds good to me!

ReplyDeleteI always knew my addiction would pay off! ;) My fav is about helping children pay attention; I teach ninth grade and when some of them occasionally come in with a little styrofoam cup of coffee, I know to get my helmet!
ReplyDeleteI already do drink coffee, but now I wont have any excuse to take an other cup...;)
ReplyDeleteWho knew coffee had sooo many benefits. So was that particular coffee good?
ReplyDeleteWell, I still can't stand the taste of coffee.:) But this is funny.:)
ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS - Happy SITS day!
ReplyDeleteSo I really AM addicted to coffee!
I knew it! Thanks for the proof :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day to you!
Hahaha, I can't help but picture gradeschool kids with their cups of coffee in class! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the part about how it stimulates your organism. :-)
Happy Sits day!
Well, why didn't you say so! Going to get a pot right now.
ReplyDeleteA healthy addiction? I don't know about that. But I love the one about kids staying alert. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteWow. I didn't know coffee helped children pay attention in school. Guess I should add some to my kids' breakfast this morning. ;)
ReplyDeleteYa know, I've wondered what our translations might look like too! LOL Very cute.
ReplyDeletestopping by from SITS on YOUR DAY!!!
Wow. I'm not a coffee drinker but I suppose I need a healthy addiction to something good. Starbucks anyone?
ReplyDelete"Helps children in school making them to pay attention, concentrate and learning."
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite part ever LOL I love it!
*LOL* I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Feature SITS day!!!! congratulations on your pregnancy and expected new arrival. How exciting for you both!
Do you guys live by any coffee farms? I know a lot of coffee comes from your neck of the woods...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
HAHA!!
ReplyDeleteGood enough reasons for me!!
Blessings,
MariLee
That's interesting!!! I still can't drink the stuff because it makes my heart race! And now I get a headache if I eat too much chocolate! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is great! I guess I'll keep drinkin' my coffee!
ReplyDeleteI would not disagree with that logic. Coffee makes the world go round. Or at least it works to de-zombie-fy me in the mornings. It was almost a word. ;) Pleasure visiting today. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee, I drink diet coke. Since they both have caffeine, I have to agree with this translation. Haha.
ReplyDeletestopping by from SITS
I knew there was a reason I drink coffee every day!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I couldn't translate any better. Congratulations on your baby!
ReplyDeleteYea! Now my husband won't get after me for drinking so much!
ReplyDeletesooooo.... what organism does coffee warm up? and do i really want to know the answer to this?
ReplyDeleteI guess it's a good thing that Starbucks hasn't gotten its hands on that coffee or else they would definitely be able to take over the world. :P
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS Day!
Oh my goodness that is too funny!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to laugh AT but to laugh WITH.
ReplyDeleteI love reading translations like that. Always a good giggle. It's a lot better than mine would be though.
ReplyDeleteI really wish my mother had given my coffee with my cookies when I was little; I may have never started smoking! :P
ReplyDeleteI LOVE coffee. What a great post! =)
ReplyDeleteHahah I love mistranslations!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Maybe we should be serving coffee to all kids in school to make them smarter.
ReplyDeleteWell, duh! No wonder I'm not losing any weight! I don't think I've ever burmed a single calorie!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Hubby and I speak some Spanish but aren't fluent. When we try to translate packaging literally it is hilarious. It needs come out quite right although you know what they are trying to say, even if you don't agree with their statements (in this case).
ReplyDeleteI'm an avid coffee drinker so I will agree that it is mildly addictive. (OK, ok... a lot addictive) BUT! There are some great coffee companies out there who do a lot of their communities and the environment so I like to get on board with those.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day!
That is funny! I can't stand coffee, but it if has all those benefits I might start lol.
